Excellent day in Waitomo navigating through a cave. Our guides drove us down to the start of the cave. The day and what the plan was outlined to us very clearly with some excellent comedy along the way.
We were kitted up with our wet suits, helmet and light and off we went into the cave.
Inside the cave we had a lot of fun finding tight gaps to squeeze through, mud to crawl in and water to swim and float through. Even though it was winter (and we had just jumped off a plane from hot LA) we were not cold. In the middle of the trip we had a hot drink and snack. That was very nice and rewarding.
I highly recommend this experience. It’ was an awesome day that our group very much enjoyed.
