Built in 1904 for wealthy businessman and collector Mr. David Theomin, Olveston historic home is a treasure trove of fine art and artefacts purchased from all over the world.
The house and its contents were gifted to the City of Dunedin following the death of Mr Theomin’s daughter and the home was opened for the public to enjoy in 1966.
This fascinating guided tour of Olveston will depict for you the lives of an upper class family in the early twentieth century.

Thank you Valerie, thank you for visiting Olveston. Jan
Very knowledgeable guide Beautifully presented historic home and garden Fantastic art collection
Thank you, Sharon, for taking the time to review Olveston Historic home.
Excellent tour guide who was knowledgeable and interesting to listen to. The house and contents are a wonderful snapshot in time and Dunedin is lucky to have this asset gifted to them.
Thank you, Kerrier1 for taking the time to review Olveston. We are so pleased you enjoyed your visit.
Our tour guide (name unknown ) was very good and had a touch of humour - just right for a tour like this so I highly recommend this tour and it was inexpensive too so all up really good. Geoff Strang
