Walk the most varied section of the Abel Tasman Coastal Track. A stunning introduction to one of New Zealand's premier coastal nature environments.
Cruise into the heart of Abel Tasman National Park, pausing at Anchorage to view your destination, then continue on to disembark at idyllic Medlands Beach.
Walk the most varied section of the Abel Tasman Coastal Track, around the spectacular Torrent Bay estuary to the long, golden sands of Anchorage Beach. Watch the video, taken by one of our visitors - simply stunning!
The track weaves through sunny groves of Manuka and fern between breathtaking views of the granite coast and lush gullies of mature forest, to reach tranquil forest pools (maximum elevation 105 metres/340 ft). Cross the rushing Falls River by an impressive swing bridge.
Allow an extra 30 minutes to take a short (500 metres) side track beside a crystal forest stream to visit tranquil Cleopatra's Pool. If you want to try the natural waterslide, allow some extra time. Watch a visitor's story: A Nature-Made Waterslide in Abel Tasman.

The weather had packed up a couple of days ago which made the paths and treks muddier than usual. However that hadn't made the slightest impact on having a great walk! The Falls River Swing Bridge could only bear 5 people on it at a time and had a very graphic warning sign. It took us 4.5 hours with very leisurely/ steady pace, including lots of photo stops, lunch break and a detour to visit Cleopatra's Pool. Turned out to the be most refreshing detour with crisp, crystal clear water washing your wariness/ tiredness away towards to the end of the walk!
Very professional, good encouragement, instructions and knowledge
Thanks for the review Sheryl, great to hear
Absolutely love NZ and was great to experience yet another part. Highly recommend this operator for a good day. They give you five hours it takes 4hrs at a wandering pace with time for photos and short rests :) Everyone is treated with respect it's great vibes
Easy hike with beautiful views. We were able to catch an earlier ferry back as we arrived a few hours before our ticketed ferry.
